In 2005, father and son Jon and Chad Youngquist set out to build something that would last — not just homes, but a reputation. In the quiet valleys of Kittitas County, Washington, they laid the foundation of Pillar Development on a simple belief: that quality construction and genuine relationships go hand in hand.
Twenty years later, that belief hasn’t wavered.
Jon has since retired, and Chad and his wife Jamie carry the legacy forward with the same pride and purpose that started it all. The passion for the craft is as strong as it’s ever been — maybe stronger. What began as a small-town building company has grown into a trusted name across two states, but the heart of the business remains exactly the same.
We understand that building a new home is one of the most significant investments a person can make — emotionally and financially. We don’t take that lightly. Our role has never been just to build; it’s to guide, listen, and make a complex process feel manageable and even enjoyable. Many of our clients become long-term friends, and that’s something we’re genuinely proud of.
Communication, transparency, and accountability aren’t just words we put on a website — they’re the standard we hold ourselves to on every project, with every client, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
We’re grateful for the trust this community has placed in us for two decades, and we look forward to earning it for many more.
